If We Could Vote, We Would! Wristbands

2016: This year's election affects many people who live in the United States. Unfortunately, there are many people who can not vote. From people who have lived here since their childhood arrival to those who are incarcerated. This wristband is a symbol of our voices that needs to needs to be heard, even after the elections. A PDF of the wristbands were made accessible the week of the elections through social media so that anyone can print them from anywhere.

Special Thanks to Aram Han Sifuentes for inviting us to participate in her Official Unofficial Voting Stations on election night at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

2020: After four years of the current US administration, we have seen an increase of injustice against our undocumented and BIPOC communities. As some of our identities and backgrounds intertwine, we continue to be left out of the decision making in the United States. Unfortunately, there are many people who can not vote. From people who have lived here since their childhood arrival to those who are incarcerated. This wristband is the official unofficial voting wristband for people who are not able to vote.
